72 year old Jimmy Stevens (a.k.a Jimmy Summertime) from Liverpool speaks about his life as a musician and rock and roller. His colourful life includes touring with the Bee Gees and used to ride with Paul McCartney and George Harrison in the same neighbourhood. He tells an insightful and intimate tale of the lives of icons from the golden era of music with amazing soul and lucidity. Having performed on a popular late night music TV show (The Old Grey Whistle Test) right after Bob Dylan , and almost having a hit record produced by Maurice Gibb, he falls back into obscurity, whilst retaining his puristic ideals about art and music.
Ferry in the Midst is about the resilience and the resolute of the Everyman in pursuit of his dreams.
